I like it. I mean, as much as you can like a Calculus book. This book falls into the same trap that most math books do though, where their exercises are supposed to force the reader to use the logic they've learned in a slightly new way. Unfortunately, the book assumes a few logical leaps that should not be hefted upon students attempting to learn calculus. Without a doubt, an instructor is not substituted by this book. If you've taken Calculus before, or are versed already in some other way, you may look at some of these things as trivial. If you're just starting, however, this book does a poor job of introducing ideas for the learner.

Very Calculating
I bought this book because I had taken an online class that used an online version of it. After the class ran out, I would have had no access and I wanted to continue to study. I thought the authors break these ideas down well. Very easy to understand. Aced Calculus I with little besides this textbook. I bought it used for $0.83 whereas the new copies are $100+! The book was in absolutely fine condition. No complaints here. Definitely the way to go.
The only reason you would ever buy this book is because it's required by your instructor... the examples are not very helpful, it may be a good book as a supplement to to another text that has more detailed descriptions of problems... but other than that... i'd pass.
I ordered a hardcover book with a code included to the tune of $140 so I was decently surprised when I got a roughed up paperback copy with no code, originally listed at around $60. So currently I have no way to access the online homework for this course, no way to access the ebook included with the textbook, and no hardcover textbook. That's the end of the actual informational portion of my review, I just wanted to also point out that I could have gotten a gently used copy of this exact book from an upperclassman friend FOR FREE if I wanted a book with no access code but I need this code for the entire classwork portion of my grade which is why I chose to spring for the full access copy, instead receiving what is essentially a stack of paper that came pre-beaten and slightly torn.
